Suzette Ramsey

Co-Owner/ Bee Keeper

Suzette is the co-founder of A Better Buzz, and the director of our social media and events. Suzette's childhood dream was to be a Chef and after graduating from Johnson & Wales University-
Charlotte, she began working at Heirloom Restaurant under Chef Clark Barlowe; where her love of beekeeping and locally sourced ingredients began and then flourished.


Myles Scaglione

Co-Owner/ Bee Keeper

Myles' is the co-founder of A Better Buzz, and our head beekeeper. He graduated from Johnson & Wales University in 2015 and began his professional culinary career at Heirloom Restaurant under Chef Clark Barlowe, where he quickly rose in his 6 years there from an intern to Executive Chef, before leaving to pursue his own endeavors and being voted 2022 NCRLA's People's Choice Chef of the Year.

Our Story

Myles and Suzette met at Heirloom Restaurant in 2014, at only 23 & 19 years old (respectively) working under the renowned Chef Clark Barlowe. After years of working and spending countless hours together, they fell in love and officially began their journey together in October 2017.
Upon the sale of Heirloom Restaurant in late 2019 and in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, Myles and Suzette decided to expand past their love of each other, to create "A Better Buzz, LLC"; focusing on their love of not only each other but bee keeping, locally grown ingredients, supporting other local companies and sustainability within our community.
We hope you enjoy our honey and products as much as we enjoy creating them, saving the bees, and helping to sustain the Earth and our world!
